About Professional Sketchcard Artist: Chris Foreman

Chris Foreman has been drawing everything from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the X-Men since the age of four years old. Present day he continues this passion as an avid artist. At the beginning of his artistic career Foreman started out with the help of Rod Thornton from Angel Comic, based out of Houston, Texas. Through Angel Comics Foreman was skillfully guidedwith help from the talented team of artists at Angel Comics, namely, Mike Brooks, Mike Charles, Adrian Nelson and Devin Richard. Once learning these professional illustration foundation skills Foreman felt he was ready to pursue something beyond than just his personal sketch book.
The turning point of Foreman’s career to what it has become today came after his departure from Angel Comics. This milestone in Foreman’s career is where he acquired the skills of the unique art form known as Sketch Cards. With the assistance of Professional Sketch Card Artist, Jon Hughes, Foreman learned all the ins and outs of drawing in the Sketch Card format. With Foreman’s newly acquired skills he went on to complete several varieties of sketch card sets. These sets ranged from luscious characters such as, Hack/Slash (5Finity Productions), Marvel Dangerous Divas (Rittenhouse Archives) and including such characters as Bad Axe Studios’ Treasure Chests and Booty. Foreman’s character style is very versatile and goes as far to include characters from other studios such as Image Comics, FemForce (from Sadlittles), and the classic, Marvel Comics.
More recently Foreman has also drawn the characters of Marvel Beginnings and Captain America: The First Avenger from both the well known trader card company called Upper Deck and Marvel Comics. Amongst his Sketch Cards Foreman has also drawn a collective number of Marvel comic book covers.
Today Foreman makes frequent appearances at Comic Cons in various cities with his present art work and various sized prints available for purchase as well as accepting custom art requests. He has also had the honor at Comic Cons to appear as a guest artist in the Artists’ Alley; to demonstrate his skills in front of an audience, as well as meet fans in person. Foreman still draws Sketch Cards and comic book covers but the next direction he would like to take his career into is full comic books. He has a multiple comic book projects in development that he is working on. Stay tuned to Chris Foreman’s blog for updates and future appearances!
